Daniel Galhardo of Tenkara USA swung by my new house today and gave a great forecast of the future of tenkara. Let’s listen …

http://tenkaratalk.comJason is an avid fly angler and backpacker. As a former fly fishing guide originally from Western New York, he moved to Colorado and became an early adopter of tenkara which perfectly suited the small, high altitude streams and lakes there. He has not fished a Western-style fly rod for trout since.
Like you Jason, it’s a good thing we both have daughters that LOVE “My Little Pony”!
Haaaahahahahahaha the my little pony hair kebari… post it up on tenkara kebari library with all those rubber wormy flies 😉
i believe…
Hmmm, unexpected predictions. Especially about the sakasa trend, that imo, are mostly a pattern useful for the sasoi technique, not particularly an advantage for other techniques. I would have bet on a trend toward more futuu / futsuu kebari. And reels, really? But what do I know.
Anyway, welcome back Jason.

Mike, Nice! David, I hope you know this was a joke. Maybe our humor is a little too dry.
Well, Of course it crossed my mind to point out that April 1st was 45 days ago.
But decided it was better to play along. ; – )
Daniel did not mention the Tenkara Summit normally held in September. Is there a plan for one and is there a tentative date?
NOOOOO!!! Really?!?!… A joke?! I stopped by my local Toys R and bought a case of 250!!. Sure hope I can find that receipt…
Loved it. I think my next fly will be the “Sakasa Juan Worm Kebari”. What’s crazy is, it would work.
