Tenkara angler and magician Dennis Vander Houwen swung by the Tenkara Talk headquarters today (OK, technically my basement but “headquarters” just sounds so much more official) and wielded a little tenkara-related magic. If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to attach your sakasa kebari to your tippet without tying a knot, watch the video!

http://tenkaratalk.comJason is an avid fly angler and backpacker. As a former fly fishing guide originally from Western New York, he moved to Colorado and became an early adopter of tenkara which perfectly suited the small, high altitude streams and lakes there. He has not fished a Western-style fly rod for trout since.
VERY Cool! Thanks guys!

Superb! Nothing like magic! and tenkara!
Hey ho Dennis…..your name sounds Dutch. Van der Houwen is real Dutch man, is that correct ? Do you know the name of that Dutch magician Hans Kolk or Hans Kazan, you are almost good as they are. Great man. If I give you a hook and some dubbing and you hold it in your do I have a Tenkara fly when you open up your hand ? Come over to the Netherlands and help me with a new production line with flies …..let me know and you are back in your homeland
Would love to come and visit. Yes My name is Dutch. I know of Hans. He is a very accomplished stage illusionist. Thanks for the ideas. Jason and I have talked about a few more ideas that will take some time to perfect and we will surely post them in the future.
